ShSP-32 fireclay stopper nozzle No. 27 is a refractory component of the outlet assembly of a steelmaking ladle. Molten steel flows through its passage, while the mating stopper plug controls the outlet.
Design features
The nozzle operates as part of a stopper assembly. The bore forms the metal-flow passage and the seating area fits the stopper and surrounding refractory masonry. ShSP-32 contains at least 32% aluminium oxide and has a refractoriness of at least 1690 °C. Refractoriness is a material property and does not by itself determine operating conditions.
Applications
- Outlet assemblies of steelmaking ladles.
- Steel pouring through stopper-controlled systems.
- Replacement of worn refractory outlet components.
Product selection
Match variant No. 27 and the assembly drawing. Check the bore, seating surfaces and fit with the stopper plug. Preheating and commissioning must follow the equipment procedures.
