M550 Cement

BUILDING CEMENT M550 Portland cement with mineral additives is a binder used to produce concrete and construction mortars. The packaging bears the designation II/A-I 42.5N. It is used in industrial, residential and agricultural construction, as well as in the manufacture of concrete products.

Applications

Suitable for concrete and reinforced-concrete structures, paving slabs and construction mixes, including:

• concrete mixes for foundations;
• mortar for load-bearing masonry;
• mixes for finishing works;
• manufacture of concrete and reinforced-concrete products;
• production of paving slabs.

Mix proportions should be selected for each application. The cement, sand, aggregate and water ratio affects the finished material, so proportions printed on the packaging are recommendations.

Product features

The cement is described as having improved frost resistance and water resistance and as suitable for heat-and-moisture curing. The properties of finished concrete also depend on the mix design, aggregate quality, water content, compaction and curing conditions.

Supplied in 50 kg bags for convenient batching in construction and production.

Mixing and storage

Thoroughly dry-mix cement, sand and crushed stone. Add water to the required consistency and mix intensively for five minutes. Adjust the water quantity to the moisture content of the aggregates and required workability.

Store in a dry, covered area away from moisture and contamination. Keep bags on pallets and protect the packaging. The warranty period is 60 days after dispatch.
