One-and-a-Half Straight Fireclay Brick

One-and-a-half-width straight fireclay bricks are rectangular refractory products with increased width for installing and repairing furnace and thermal equipment linings. The range includes No. 11–15.

Design features

These units are wider than corresponding standard straight bricks. For example, No. 11–12 are 172 mm wide and No. 13–14 are 187 mm wide. Their larger face can cover a wider section with one unit where the masonry design allows it. Flat surfaces are suitable for even courses and adjacent joints.

• Straight sections of refractory linings.
• Furnace walls, hearths and partitions as designed.
• Restoration of masonry using one-and-a-half-width units.

Product selection

Choose by length, width and thickness, considering bonding and orientation. The wider format can reduce the number of joints where a standard brick would require additional units.
